Alarm System for the Swimming Pool:

The
U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) provides some
guidelines informative data that every swimming pool owner
should read. The guidelines are the bases for the foundation
of this swimming pool alarm system.
Pools should have layers of protection to prevent drowning:

Fences
and walls should be at least 4 feet high and installed
completely around the pool. Fence gates should be self-closing
and self-latching. The latch should be out of a small
child’s reach.

If your house forms one side of the barrier to the pool,
then doors leading from the house to the pool should be
protected with alarms that produce a sound when a door
is unexpectedly opened.

A
power safety cover -- a motor-powered barrier that can
be placed over the water area -- can be used when the
pool is not in use.

For
above-ground pools, steps and ladders to the pool should
be secured and locked, or removed when the pool is not
in use.

If
a child is missing, always look in the pool first. Seconds
count in preventing death or disability. Keep rescue equipment
by the pool, and be sure a phone is poolside with emergency
numbers posed. You or someone in your household should
know CPR.

Pool
alarms can be used as an added precaution. Under water
pool alarms generally perform better and can be used in
conjunction with pool covers. CPSC advises that consumers
use remote alarm receivers so the alarm can be heard inside
the house or in other places away from the pool area.
Design an alarm system for swimming pools. The system must
effective in detection of child using different detection
sensors, has different alarm modes, automatically raises a
net from bottom of the pool and uses wireless system to communicate
with the emergency service and police.

Voice Activated Motorized Baby Rocker:

Design
a voice activated electric baby rocker that can be used on
a cot to automatically and gently rock a baby (hopefully to
sleep). The rocker should be voice controlled and provides
feedback about its status. The rocker should also incorporate
an attachment to a micro-motion monitor mat that can automatically
detect whether a baby is breathing or not. The feedback is
conveyed to the person who is keeping remote watch on the
baby.
The rocking device should be programmed to automatically switch
off after some conditions are satisfied such as the baby has
fallen asleep for five minutes. It can also be programmed
to wake the baby and play music (or familiar voice) at predetermined
time.

Full Automated Seed Planting System:

Most
of fields and gardens use seeds of different flowers, vegetables
crops that need to be uniformly planted or planted according
to specific patterns. The objective of this project is to
design and construct a device capable of planting five different
types of seeds according to a predetermined layout. A realistic
approach involves providing the device with the layout of
the rows of the field or garden and the type of seeds and
exact location where seeds to be planted. It should have different
end effectors to accommodate the size and shape of the seeds
and a process to plant them into the soil. The system should
recognize its location (say by GPS), and communicates wirelessly
with a bas computer to determine different actions as specified
in the base computer. It should plant an area of 100 square
feet (with one foot apart of each type of seeds) in about
10 minutes. The device should perform like a lawn mower.
