Oct. 7-10, 2015. BioMEMS laboratory proudly presented multiple projects at the Annuel Meeting for Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) in Tampa, Florida.

Sep. 6-10, 2015. Jack Zheng will be giving an oral presentation at the 1st World Congress on Electroporation and Pulsed Electric Fields in Biology, Medicine, and Food & Environmental Technologies. Hosted in Portoroz, Slovenia.

 

Congratulations to three BME undergraduate research students in the BioMEMS laboratory : (1) Joseph Vavra, (2) Rebecca Wenokor, (3) Eamon Collins for winning this year's 2013-2014 Aresty Undergraduate Research Fellows grant, they will be working on exciting research projects under the supervision of Prof. Jeffrey Zahn.

 

Oct. 27-31,2013 - The BioMEMS Lab will be giving an oral presentation at The 16th International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences hosted in Freiburg, Germany.

 

Sep. 25-28, 2013 - Two research projects from the BioMEMS lab were presented at the annual meeting for Biomedical Engineering Society in Seattle, Washington, 2013.

 

The BioMEMS & Microfluidics Lab is proud to have competed in the 2012 Go-Figue Contest and presented three laboratory-specific images at the End-of-Year Departmental Wine & Cheese Party . Congratulations to Jack Zheng and Joseph Fantuzzo for winning first and third prize.

Five BME undergraduate students from the BioMEMS lab have been awarded the 2012-2013 Aresty Undergraduate Research Fellows grant, they will be working on exciting research projects under the supervision of Prof. Jeffrey Zahn. Congratulations to all.

The BioMEMS Lab will be presenting at the MicroTAS Conference 2012, the 16th International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences, in Okinawa, Japan from October 28th to November 1 st.

 

July - 2012: The Rutgers Board of Governors has approved the following BME faculty promotions: Professor Jeffrey Zahn will be promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure on July 1, 2012. 

 

June - 2012: Joachim Kohn and Jared Bushman from the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials and David Shreiber and Jeffrey Zahn from Biomedical Engineering were awarded a 3-year, $593,000 grant from the New Jersey Commission on Spinal Cord Research. The multi-disciplinary team aims to design and develop novel microelectrodes that limit gliosis for use in Brain-Machine Interfaces.

 

The BioMEMS Lab is presenting 3 posters at MicroTAS 2011, The  15th International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences, in Seattle, WA from October 2-6, 2011.

BioMEMS undergraduate Ian Johnston among three winners in Honors Academy research poster contest.

 

Two poster presentations and a podium talk given at the  7th International Conference on Pediatric Mechanical Circulatory Support Systems & Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Perfusion, May 5-7, 2011 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
