Semi-Automatic Installation


 
Boot preseed parameters from a Web server:
   boot: linux preseed/url=http://192.168.5.250/preseed/preseed.cfg debconf/priority=critical  

Boot preseed parameters from a floppy:
boot:linux preseed/file=/floppy/preseed.cfg  debconf/priority=critical 


Without 
languagechooser/language-name=English

 prompts for Language and Country 

preseed.cfg file to be placed on a web server

After the installation, system needs to be configured and customized. 

If login fails due to wrong password, boot the system into the single
  user mode -- at GRUB prompt, 
type 'e'; down the line; 'e'; at the end of line, add the following:
single init=/bin/bash 
Enter; 'b'; when the system boots into the single user mode:
mount -n -o remount,rw /
mount /usr
mount /var
mount /tmp
mount /home 
Remove password hash from /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow
Type Ctrl-Alt-Del
