TEEM
The Engineering Experience for
Minorities
TEEM Projects:
TEEM students will be engaged in researching engineering design projects which the students will propose and defend. This year’s projects will revolve around six different engineering disciplines. Working in small teams formed around common interests and engineering disciplines, students will research and design a product with attention to details such as technical feasibility, need, cost, safety, and environmental concerns.
Based on their discipline, students will have to research his or her engineering field here at Rutgers University. Also students will be responsible for other workshops and projects that will challenge them within other disciplines of engineering. The program will culminate in the presentation, by each group, of their engineering project before a panel of professional Engineers who will determine the feasibility of the project. Workshops, lab tours, and lectures have been designed to assist students in their research and design project. Every day of the program is full and challenging work. Students should come prepared to work.
