During the junior year, students may apply to the Rutgers Business School for admission to
the BS/MBA program. Admission requires a 3.2 cumulative GPA by the end of the junior year and
score in the 80th percentile (~ 640 overall score) on the GMAT exam ().
These should be viewed as strict lower limits.
Interested/eligible students should take the GMAT () during
the fall semester of your junior year.
Then, apply to the program in the spring semester of your junior year.
If accepted into the program, during your senior year of the engineering program, you will take up to 4 MBA courses towards
your MBA degree. These courses may count as tech electives or as general electives in the engineering curriculum
(see Dean Bernath for specifics).
If these electives will have already been fulfilled by other courses, any MBA courses that you complete while enrolled in the
BS program will not count toward BS requirements but they will of course make progress toward the MBA.
The Rutgers Business School will advise you on course selection for MBA courses, and issue any necessary special
permission #'s.
The 4th year remains your senior year in which you must complete all
requirements for the BS in Engineering.
During your fifth year, you will complete your graduate studies and receive your MBA degree.
