If your son or daughter was accepted to into the Rutgers cirriculum and is living on-campus, be sure they are ready for their first year and make some preparations of your own. A nice dorm-warming present would be a "Freshmen Survival Kit", filled with items most likely overlooked, but nonetheless vital. Some suggestions include: A can opener Extension cords/surge protector/power strips Window fans Vacuum cleaner Microwaveable meals (TV Dinners, "Easy Mac") Rolls of quarters (for the first time they do their own wash) We all know that positive, nutritious eating provides students with the energy necessary to tackle their courses. Besides making them ready for any situation imaginable, you can feel safe knowing they will be eating healthy meals daily at the Busch Dining Hall. Feel free to take a few minutes and see what the Busch Dining Hall has to offer your student.
