Current Projects:
Multi-Agent Systems - Due to the availability of new computer technologies, especially network and communication technologies, agents can be implemented in the control of large-scale systems. An agent is a software object that is situated in some environment and is capable of autonomous action in the environment in order to meet some design objective. In this work we address the automatic control of manufacturing plants using agent technology.
Re-configurable Supply Chains - The use of workflow models is becoming a standard approach to coordinating activities in the supply chain. Workflow models are descriptive, lack analytical capability, and are rigid, not automatically adaptable to changes in business rules. In this work we are designing a methodology and software to coordinate supply chain activities while being able to accommodate changes in business rules automatically.
