"The mission of the Bureau includes service to the University by providing the engineering faculty with timely and accurate management of grants and contracts. This includes the approval of all expenses generated in RIAS and student/faculty appointments charged against the grant or contract. The Bureau also serves as the signature authority for the School of Engineering on all pending proposals. These services assist the faculty in pursuing diverse areas of external funding. The strong and increasing external support of the faculty is a measure of their excellence in reaseach, and provides useful industrial contact points for students and faculty. This ultimately benefits the citizens and industry of the State of New Jersey and the national scientific community." |
